Main Play

I've been stereotype for my skin,
And who I am,
But that'll never stop who I'm gonna be,
Because I can see,
That my life is than just me.
There's a bigger play and you'd better believe cause you're in the main lane.
You think of us as insane,
But believe me,
There's more than just love and lust in one's life dream.
This life can seem like too much for me,
My complications compared to his lacerations stationed on the cross for us.
Man,
Her really paid the price,
For our life.

Cries of the Night

I hear her cry in the night,
From the pain of the fight.
I wish I could help her,
And say I love her,
But she pushes me away,
And says go away,
But I can't help her win this fight.
God can help win over the night,
And raise the light.
For he is the one who gave you life.

Why can't you see?
He's the one who died for you,
Cried for you,
And overall laid down his life for you.
He beat the grave,
And helped us so we can be saved,
And no longer be attack by Satan's hand.

God is the law of the land.
God is the one who helps us stand,
And walk on our own.

Where Have You Been?

I've been looking,
And I've found nothing,
But there must be something.
I can feel someone coming,
To free me.

He wants me.
He sees me and yearns me to love back,
But He says I that I lack,
The real reason to look back.

I finally tried to stand up,
But fell back down,
On the ground.
He says you can't do it on your own,
This place is not your home.
You're a stranger,
But you're not alone.

I repented,
Resented,
And bound a struggle that will never stumble.
Cause if I tumble,
He'll be there to catch me.

Valentine

The thing I need isn't a key,
And it's an actual need,
If you precede.
All I need for a valentine is you.
And yes I need God too,
But it's just about me and you for this Valentine Day.
