Savior

Savior

Breaking down,
You were always around.
Even when I couldn't make a sound.
Comforter,
Deliverer,
Overall lover.

When I couldn't breathe,
And could only see death in front of me.
You were there to breathe life into me.

Worthless wails,
Ring and sting the inside of me,
And puncture my identity,
But you came to save me,
And rebuild my sanctuary.

Once again!
You help me.
But why do I listen to the lies and look to lust and think its love?

Sandcastles in the Deep

Sandcastles in the Deep

I walk on the beach...
I find you,
Making a sandcastle,
But the waves wash away everything.
I ask,
"Why keep rebuilding when you know it will fail?"
You seemed frail by this unusual trail I made for you to travel.

You stood and asked me,
"Think, if I could make it stay, why walk away?"
You walked astray and drove away.

I looked at the pound of sand and decided to bend and build.
As I built,
I felt wonder,
So I pondered...
Life is like an unending bending sandcastle.
You build and build,
But the waves will wash it away.
We keep building though...
